Who was the man behind it all? He rammed the ball and wadding home, his nerves shot as all around him yelling minutemen rap past, diving behind rocks and trees to aim and fire and reload once more. Of all the…how did she manage THAT?
Also, I felt like amy's character was just too lame, she had no voice. I have no idea. His means of coercion and reverse psychology is interesting to read. Also included is a 20,word bonus novella, Salt Angelfeaturing well-loved characters from the Salt books. Amy had never seen such a gorgeous hadmon.
Charles regained consciousness just to discover that not only was he blind, but among the enemy. The reason I couldn't give this book three stars was how contrived the ending felt. Harmln views his relationship with Juliet as a mistake, and so was more than happy to view his child the same and so he felt no remorse discarding Charlotte and making her Garret and Juliet's problem.
He is also unusually good at reading female characters so that the listener knows they are female.

The hero and heroine both suffer from a severe lack of confidence, yet they each manage to instill confidence in the other. The Beloved One Author: Was it a good read? The blue eyes, so competent, so self-assured, so very, very dangerous, narrowed a second before the redcoat would have blown him into eternity. Harmon shows in developing the relationship between Amy and Charles serves the story well when the action returns to England.
